This one day seminar presents the experiences on creating and using domain-specific languages and models in various domains, including avionics (military), consumer electronics UI, mobile applications, payroll, seismic acquisition, telecom messaging…
Why do many MDD approaches fail or only produce marginal improvements, when others consistently improve productivity by a factor of 5-10? We analyzed 76 cases of Domain-Specific Modeling, spanning 15 years and 4 continents, to find the set of worst…
The Code Generation conference is Europe's leading event on Model Driven Software Development and related approaches.
A Call for Speakers will be issued in October 2009.

Thank you so much for these good resource, Mr. Tolvanen. I think they are very useful for me to extend our current application of visualization. Hope we could come up with some cool idea after carefully reading them.
We definitely hope that the visualization techniques can be widely used in different perspectives, as long as they could improve the cognition and awareness of the product lines especially with complex structure and huge size. We know that the product lines is a complicated engineering process and involves a lot of research areas.
We just begin our work on it not long ago and we don't have too much experience on the product lines engineering, either in theory or practice. So we do need ideas, suggestions or comments from expertises like you. Domain-specific, or family-specific languages, sounds like a good new interest to apply the 3d visualization. Could you give us more detailed information about this aspect?
Hi,
We just began our research in this area recently. For us, feature model is relatively easy to visualize. So it is probably good to start with feature model. If 3D visualization could be proven a good visualization strategy, we will extend to other sub-area in product lines. We know that's a long way to go.

My interest in Product Lines
I work for MetaCase, a company providing a domain-specific modeling tool MetaEdit+. A significant portion of our customers define modeling languages and generators to automate product derivation and I want to learn on others experiences. My primary interest here is applying domain engineering for langauge (and generator) design.
My experience of Product Lines
I was involved first time mid 90's on a project defining a modeling language and generators for product lines. Since then been involved in many similar projects on different domains.
